Wisconsin Refreshes its Meeting Spaces

When it comes to hosting events, the Badger State offers a diverse array of venues, accommodations and experiences. And the offerings continue to grow.
For example, Hilton Madison Monona Terrace recently unveiled its renovated 14th floor Executive Lounge with a reimagined layout. Available for private events, the space is ideal for working or relaxing. As one of few locations with iconic views of both Lake Monona and the State Capitol, guests will be in awe.
Executive Lounge guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast items and beverages in the morning, or hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine in the evenings. The restaurant recently announced a dinner menu that features fresh, locally sourced ingredients and Midwest flavors.
The historic Hilton Milwaukee recently announced that it is undergoing a sweeping renovation, too, which is expected to be complete by summer. It will be the most extensive in Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ history, transforming its guest rooms, lobby and 34,000 square feet of event space.
The Hilton Milwaukee offers the most event space of any hotel in the city, including three ballrooms and 18 meeting rooms of various sizes. Dating back to the early 20th century, each ballroom features high ceilings, original chandeliers, antique mirrors and more. But throughout the spaces will be new carpeting, draperies and wall coverings. Complementing the aesthetic will be a full modernization of the spaces’ functional capabilities, including a state-of-the-art sound system, lighting controls and digital signage.
Whether hosting groups of 1,000 or 20, the Hilton Milwaukee’s spaces accommodate meetings and events of all types and sizes. Its central location means guests are moments from the new Baird Center, Theater District, lakefront, Fiserv Forum, Deer District and more.
The 358-room Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva is also fresh from a full update of its more than 62,000 square feet of event space, including five large ballrooms and four boardrooms. From spacious suites featuring fireplaces, dining areas and expansive patios to rooms with private balconies, and nature and lake views, Grand Geneva Resort & Spa now offers 15 redesigned room styles at the 1,300-acre, all-season resort.
The renovation was complete in time for its 30th anniversary in 2024. Guests may now enjoy these upgrades alongside resort programming, award-winning restaurants, two championship golf courses, the WELL Spa + Salon and more.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin Dells is welcoming a new hotel, which “will lean into the state’s heritage in a big way, from architecture and interior design to culinary and event space,” to its stable this year. The Wisconsin Hotel has an aesthetic that hearkens to classic farm structures with its soaring roof line, timber beams and cupolas. It will feature 111 guest rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, an event venue large enough for 300 guests, and welcoming communal spaces with fire features inside and out.
Farmer in the Dells, the on-site eatery, crafts dishes with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and Wisconsin’s natural bounty. At The Silo Bar, guests will bask in rooftop views with handcrafted cocktails. Here, every sip, laugh and toast is met with a blend of Midwest warmth and sophisticated charm.
Whether you’re planning a large convention in Milwaukee or an intimate gathering in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin’s top-tier hospitality and gorgeous natural surroundings will ensure an exceptional experience for all.
