Drury Plaza, Other Hotel Groundbreakings Could Help Attract More Conventions to Milwaukee

The Drury Plaza Hotel, located at 700 N. Water Street in Milwaukee, recently celebrated a soft opening, during which it was sold out, over the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon weekend.
According to WTMJ-TV, it’s hotel openings and guest room additions like this that could help contribute to drawing more conventions to the Milwaukee area — conventions beyond the Democratic National Convention being held in Milwaukee in July 2020.
The Drury Plaza Hotel Milwaukee Downtown is a historic renovation of the 15-story First Financial Centre, according to its website. It is close to the Wisconsin Center, Milwaukee RiverWalk, Milwaukee Art Museum, Marquette University and more. Over 4,500 square feet of flexible meeting and banquet space is available to accommodate a wide variety of groups.
